10 Reasons Trish Stratus Was WWE’s Best Diva Of All Time
6. She Understood Business
When Trish first entered WWE, she was eye candy and not much more. Though her beauty was staggering and she captured the fans' attention when she was on camera, the fact is that she didn't do much when she had it. She was basically just another knockout in a federation already full of them. It's not a slight to Trish as a person of course: she was doing what she had been hired to do; she had a role to play and she did so to the best of her ability. She smiled when she was told to smile and she did what she could to get over even though she was not really given all that much to do in the first place. However, all of that changed when Trish learned to work in the ring. Suddenly, she became much more than just a valet or a manager; she became a worker, a performer that stepped into the ring and put her body on the line night and night out, all in the name of entertaining the crowd. Trish understood that to have more than just a few years' shelf life in the company, she would have to evolve. She would need to change up and give fans more than what she had been allowed to give. Trish did what many Divas before her never did; she became a legitimate in-ring talent, proving she understood business and how to make the most of her opportunity.
