10 Reasons Why Daniel Bryan Belongs On WWE's Mount Rushmore
2. The WrestleMania XXX Main Event
If you forget about the injury that prematurely ended Bryan's run as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, then WrestleMania XXX's main event is a superb tale of the heroic underdog getting one over on the dastardly authority figures on the biggest platform possible.
Regardless of your opinion towards the Authority as a stable throughout this period, you can't deny the marvelous role they played in turning Bryan into a seriously credible WWE performer. Their promo work, particularly in the case of Triple H in the month leading to 'Mania XXX, was legitimately second to none.
The match itself, however, crowned Daniel Bryan as not only the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but an all-time WWE great. He had achieved the peak of sports entertainment, having already conquered the world of professional wrestling, and he did so in a cracker.
Keep in mind that Bryan had already wrestled Trips earlier in the evening to earn his spot alongside Randy Orton and Batista, when recalling the bump Daniel took through an announce table. Orton may have inverted his spine landing on a monitor, but this is a spot that became crucial to the story of Bryan's perception as a main event player.
He belonged in the WrestleMania main event; his two performances on the night proved this, while his journey from the previous year's SummerSlam onwards acted as backup evidence.
