10 Reasons Why Money In The Bank Was WWE’s Best PPV Of 2021

6. Every Match Had Meaning

There was some chatter a while back about Vinnie Mac's new edict; it said that every single match happening on TV had to carry some sort of purpose. Apparently, WWE's writing staff are into that, because they crammed MITB full of matches that had clearly-presented high stakes.

Every bout was either for a championship or one of those briefcases, and none of them were shoved together at short notice. Any fears that the company might stick Bianca Belair on the card for a meaningless (exhibition-style) SmackDown Women's Title defence were misplaced, and there was no guff like that sh*te Damian Priest vs. The Miz clash at Backlash.

Bloody zombies, man.

Money In The Bank's card flowed neatly from one important match to the next, and that made it an easy watch. Even the lesser bouts, like The Viking Raiders vs. AJ Styles and Omos, had some vigour to them. This should be the blueprint for every pay-per-view from now on.
