Admit it, you marked out for The Superman Punch before all this cynicism and Internet fan-BS hit you like a tide of liquid sh!t. We watch wrestling, by and large, because its FUN. Like the movies, at best, pro wrestling is a genuine art form. Go back and watch Flair Vs. Steamboat if you disagree - but it doesnt have to be. For every Akira Kurosawa masterpiece, theres a movie about Bruce Willis being trapped in a building full of German terrorists at Christmas. ...And yes, Kurosawa IS undeniably great...But which do you watch more often? Roman Reigns finishing move is simple, immediate and able to hit any opponent, from anywhere, at any time. Like the RKO, the Stone Cold Stunner, The Rock Bottom and others, it is a pure, effective strike and, like most of Reigns offence, is endlessly fun to watch. Oh, you didnt enjoy the Triple Powerbomb? You got no time for the running spear? ...Everybody likes a Samoan drop, right? Hes a power guy. Hes energy, strength and showmanship personified. What more do you need? Whilst armed with The Superman Punch, Reigns has a genuine crowd pleaser that he can end a big match with at any time.
