10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns Must Return As A Heel
8. It Will Fuel Future Shield Triple Threat Matches
Turning Roman Reigns heel won't just change his relationship with the WWE Universe, it will also change his relationships with his fellow superstars - and none are more important than the ones he has built with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
For more than two years, Rollins and Reigns have hated each other, thanks to Rollins's Shield-destroying attack on "The Guy." Reigns and Ambrose, meanwhile, have stayed best friends. Though circumstances have put them at odds with one another on a few occasions, both have resisted the temptation to plunder their friendship in exchange for immediate gain. Even on Raw this past week, Ambrose defended his absent comrade from Rollins's harsh words.
If Reigns turned heel, though, his friendship with Ambrose would be shattered. Ambrose would most likely be the victim of the turn, but even if he wasn't, it's hard to imagine "The Lunatic Fringe" respecting a Roman Reigns who takes shortcuts. That means that all three members of The Shield would hate one another, and that means that the Shield Triple Threat doesn't need to be a one-time thing - the company can milk it for a series of matches.
One of the most effect bits of booking in recent years has been the handling of The Shield. All three men will be inextricably linked for their entire WWE careers, and adding another twist to their relationship can throw even more fuel on the fire.
