Roman has been Universal Champ for 745 days at time of writing. He’s also held the WWE Title for 164 days (more by the time you read this) after winning that from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 too. Title runs this lengthy aren't exactly the norm in WWE's modern era.

Sure, Gunther held the NXT UK belt for a whopping 870 days, but that was likely due to Vince McMahon paying next-to-no attention to the British brand. Meanwhile, in plain view of the now-former boss, Reigns has been breaking records with the top prizes, and he continues to do so under Triple H's watch.

WWE hasn't stopped his title domination because it's getting results. Nobody on the current active roster, especially now that Drew McIntyre has been beaten on Clash At The Castle, feels like the right pick to topple Roman. Choosing the right man for that job is gonna be crucial for creative in 2023.

They need to get that right.
