10 Reasons Why Roman Reigns' WWE Heel Turn Has Been So Successful
6. Dominant Booking
An obvious reason for Reigns' successful heel run has been his booking.
Ever since Vince McMahon laid his eyes on his handsome face all those years ago, Reigns has been protected. As the silent muscle of The Shield, he was always kept strong and, despite the fans' clear objection, he was seen as the breakout star of the group.
Multiple title runs, dominant wins and several WrestleMania main events were already on Roman's CV before he even turned heel. But since he has, there is no denying that WWE creative have done a sterling job in building him as the most dominant force on the roster.
Things started off a little shaky, but as Reigns grew into the character, his dominance became deserved more than needed and the list of people he has defeated is impressive. Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan, Edge, John Cena. Hell, he even beat The Demon.
Now over 400 days into his Universal Title run, whenever Roman Reigns appears, he doesn't just look like the biggest deal in the company, he feels like it. None of it feels forced anymore, and the way the fans are responding to him every week show that they feel it too.
