10 Reasons Why Shane McMahon Should Bring Back WCW Raw

3. The 'Big Gold Belt' Could Come Back

One aspect of the previous 'Brand Extension' that stood out was the fact both Raw and Smackdown had their own titles. The WWE Heavyweight Title traded between both brands, as did the old World Heavyweight Championship. That latter belt hasn't been seen on television since the company merged both their top titles into the WWE World Heavyweight Title in 2013. If there is another brand split after WrestleMania, it makes sense to imagine that championship would go to Smackdown. This would be due to Shane McMahon's ownership of Raw, and plays into the idea of a WCW comeback. Vince McMahon, in storyline, would be eager to keep hold of the prized possession. If the WCW name did return, so would the World Heavyweight Championship. Similarly, the United States and new Cruiserweight Titles could become part of the brand. Straight away, that gives WCW Raw some of their own belts to play with. Further on down the line, there could be Champion vs. Champion matches on pay-per-views, possibly Night Of Champions or special 'Raw vs. Smackdown' events on the WWE Network.
