10 Reasons Why Wrestling Would Suck If It Was Real

6. No High Flying

High flying wrestling like Lucha Libre is one of the most crowd pleasing, attention grabbing, visually wonderful styles of wrestling imaginable. But it's also completely impractical when trying to win a wrestling match.

In a real fight, why would you waste time with dives and flips, when there's just as much risk of hurting yourself along with your opponent?

One slip off the ropes or mistimed jump and your opponent could be right on you. Granted if you could somehow pull off a top rope dive, (be it a standard cross body or Neville's Red Arrow) you'd probably incapacitate your opponent for way more than a three count, but the risk factor is still too great.

No, I'd rather enjoy the fantastic high flying displays of Neville, TNA's X-Division and Lucha Underground, than have every math fought on the mat, thank you very much.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
