10 Reasons Why WWE Fastlane 2016 Truly, Utterly Sucked
7. Kalisto vs Alberto Del Rio On The Pre-Show
Completely disregarding the impromptu R-Truth-Axel match, the United States Championship match between Kalisto and Alberto Del Rio should have never been on the pre-show in the first place. The two have faced off numerous times over the past six weeks but the contest was surely worthy of being on the Fastlane main card; given the stipulation was Two out of Three Falls and being for a championship should have made the decision a no-brainer, on top of it likely being the last time the two will face off for a while. The match itself was thoroughly enjoyable with the use of chairs and underhanded tactics not enough for Alberto Del Rio to claim back his US Title from Kalisto. Sure, it might have provided good reason for fans to believe Fastlane would be excellent if that match was resigned to the pre-show, but it's no excuse given WWE was obviously running low on content. A blind squirrel could have composed the Fastlane card better than what was presented. While WWE fans regularly complain about the rushed nature of a lot of big shows, this is one time their criticisms are fully justified.
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
