10 Reasons WWE Booked Triple H Vs Dean Ambrose At Roadblock

6. A Sell Was Needed For The Network Special

WWE's March Network special was originally titled 'March To WrestleMania' and was set to be headlined by a Roman Reigns versus Sheamus match, and would also feature Brock Lesnar taking on Luke Harper. That was back when Lesnar was set to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania. Once the Lesnar/Ambrose direction was established, WWE made it so Lesnar would now face Wyatt at the March event. But a killer selling point was still needed. The Lesnar versus Wyatt stuff had been lame, and Reigns is now out injured - not that his match with Sheamus meant a great deal in the grand scheme of things anyway. As a result, most fans figured that the Network special was just a filler show. But the Ambrose/Triple H booking completely transforms it. The show now has a key selling point with such a huge match as the headliner. WWE transformed March To WrestleMania to Roadblock, and it really does feel like it has gone from a televised house show to a genuine B level PPV.
