Triple H is a Dean Ambrose fan, just like he's also a fan of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. As a mark for the trio, Hunter elected to work with them as part of the Evolution versus Shield feud in the spring of 2014. He then pushed for all three men to get big singles pushes, and has taken some degree of credit for being their mentor. Just like he did with Randy Orton, he wanted to help raise a star with a long-term view of working high-profile matches against them. The original 'Mania plan was Triple H versus Rollins, but it was changed to Hunter versus Reigns. Now there's the opportunity to do The Game versus The Lunatic Fringe as well, so why not?
