10 Reasons WWE Champion John Cena Must Lose To Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam

6. A Break From The "Norm"

Let's be completely honest with each other here... even some of John Cena's biggest fans and supporters are feeling like WWE should be booking him in a different fashion. People think he wins too often. People think he has too many title reigns. People think he doesn't "put people over" like he should, at this stage of his career. Having Brock Lesnar not just beat Cena, but batter and bloody him, and taking the WWE World Title in the process, would help to flip things on its ear... as long as Cena is booked to sell the beating. The aforementioned style of Cena returning from a loss with goofy promos, acting like nothing really happened, has to go. Cena as a "hungry" challenger, looking to get back what he feels is his at any cost, could really work, instead of Cena as the guy who knows he'll be alright. It's very important that WWE allows fans to see Cena have his moments of weakness from time to time. It presents the older fans with something different to watch, alleviating some of their concerns, and it gives the younger fans with a valuable lesson about Cena's "Never Give Up" motto, allowing him to come back fighting after a tough loss.
