10 Reasons WWE Doesn't Attract New Fans

3. Confusing Storylines

If you sit down and plot out most WWE storylines, it quickly becomes clear that they are nonsense. Take Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton. The feud started when Wyatt went after Orton, attacking him and winning a few matches via nefarious means. Then, out of nowhere, Orton decided to team up with Bray, something Wyatt was apparently happy to accept without any further questions.

Of course, all roads eventually led to Orton turning on Wyatt and that awful House of Horrors match, but you don’t need all the details. The fact of the matter is that none of these people behaved like normal human beings. One week they were blood enemies and the next they’re best pals. Why didn't someone question this? Does a heel or face turn erase everything they did in their recent history?

People describe wrestling as being like a soap opera, but the truth is that most soap operas are better written than WWE. It’s a constant confusion of motivations and ideas and you never know exactly why people are doing what they’re doing. If you’re tuning in for the first time, it’s easier to turn it off than try to figure it out.
