10 Reasons WWE Shouldn't Bring Back Alberto Del Rio

3. Andrade Almas Is What He Should've Been

Above all else, the primary reason why Alberto Del Rio was pushed so aggressively the first time around was because WWE was in desperate need of a new top Latin American star. Rey Mysterio was slowly being phased out, and Del Rio could cater to that audience, filling the spot The Master of the 619 left behind.

That was the same reason he was re-signed in 2015: by that point, all other attempts to create a new Latino star had failed (see: Sin Cara). In 2018, WWE has their next Latin star in Andrade "Cien" Almas.

He, too, had trouble finding his footing when he first showed up in NXT in 2016, but within one year, he blossomed. Granted, his English isn't amazing, but that's why Zelina Vega was added to his act. From his impressive look and exceptional wrestling skills to his considerable presence, he has every tool necessary to be a big name on the main roster one day.
