Everything in WWE is calculated, and everything you see on television is to some extent a work. Did WWE have an ulterior motive with booking Bryan's speech to get Brie Bella over? You wouldn't put it past them! By forcing through the retirement this week, it has created sympathy and support for Brie Bella just at the right time. She's going for Charlotte's Diva Title at Fastlane, in a match that no one cared about a week ago. Now after seeing her real emotion in the Bryan segment, she's infinitely more likeable and interesting. Fans suddenly have a reason to care about her, a reason to will her to do well. Brie and WWE should use the Bryan situation to their advantage, and it may even be a good idea to book her husband in her corner at Fastlane.
