10 Reasons You Need To Be Watching Impact Wrestling Right Now

9. Legends Used Correctly

If there's a promotion that knows how to use a legend correctly, it's Impact Wrestling.

It took them a while to get the formula correct, but, we're now in a position to say the likes of Tommy Dreamer aren't in a major position within the roster. At the time of writing, 'The Innovator of Violence' is involved a program with Brian Myers that, while hasn't been the greatest, will ideally raise Myers' profile in Impact.

There are, of course, instances where legends are used more prominently, with Ken Shamrock being a fine example. The Hall of Fame inductee is currently partnered with Sami Callihan opposite Eddie Edwards as he attempts to refind his mojo to become the Ken Shamrock of old. This is an exception to the rule because what they're doing with 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' is actually worthwhile, and not just being done for the sake of filling time on the card.

The recently departed Rob Van Dam was the only real tragic use of a legend in recent times for the company. Whenever he and Katie Forbes were on our screens, it felt as if everything about them had to be rammed down our throats quicker than a Deaner with a bottle of beer.

Let's just hope we don't see any repeat RVD scenarios.
