10 Reasons You Need To Be Watching Impact Wrestling Right Now
8. Less Is More
If you can recall how many times we've seen Apollo Crews square off with The Hurt Business over the last few months, then you deserve a gold medal. It's ridiculous how many there were - same goes for The Street Profits vs. Andrade and Angel Garza.
A rivalry doesn't need to (and certainly shouldn't) be a bunch of matches time after time. If built correctly, it could simply be one amazing match, and that's the end of it. Everyone involved can move on to pastures new.
The majority of Impact's stories fall under this category. There may be one or two matches per rivalry, however, they aren't fighting each other week in and week out. Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo had just two matches against one another, but because the story was played out perfectly, it was more than enough to satisfy the rivalry. A third match would have been the absolute maximum.
Scenarios like Ziggler vs. Corbin for the millionth time have no place in today's era of wrestling. Fans want fresh material, and quite frankly, adding a no disqualifications stipulation doesn't make a single difference to a match between those two.
