10 Recent WWE PPVs That Were Worse Than WWE Fastlane 2016

7. Night Of Champions 2013

SummerSlam 2013 was a success on a number of levels - not only was the show filled with great matches, but from a storytelling point of view, it was brilliant. Daniel Bryan cleanly defeated WWE Champion John Cena for the title, but was immediately robbed of it after Triple H turned heel and attacked him, and Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Unfortunately, The Authority became played out and repetitive almost immediately, and the Randy Orton-Daniel Bryan feud wasn't as compelling as fans had hoped. The two clashed in the main event of the next Pay-Per-View, Night of Champions, but the match didn't live up to Bryan's initial win over Cena. The former WWE Champion pinned "The Viper" to win the title back, but the three count by referee Scott Armstrong was unnecessarily fast, raising red flags. Sure enough, the next night on Raw, Bryan was stripped of the title and it was held up. CM Punk's feud with Paul Heyman (also known as "the straw that broke the camel's back) continued on the undercard, with Punk defeating Heyman and Curtis Axel in a handicap match - Axel's second match of the night. Ricardo Rodriguez was in Rob Van Dam's corner for RVD's match with Alberto Del Rio, while The Miz defeated Fandango in a match that happened on Pay-Per-View.
