10 Recent WWE PPVs That Were Worse Than WWE Fastlane 2016
3. Survivor Series 2015
Seth Rollins's seven-month WWE Title reign came to an abrupt end in November of 2015, when he was forced to relinquish the belt following a knee injury. Immediately, a 16-man tournament was announced, and with names like Tyler Breeze and Stardust involved, it was clear just how shallow the company's roster had become. Leading into Survivor Series, Roman Reigns, Alberto Del Rio, Dean Ambrose, and Kevin Owens were still alive in the tournament, with fans hoping for an exciting swerve that would turn the former Shield brothers against one another. Sure enough, it came down to Reigns and Ambrose, but instead of one of the men joining The Authority to become a new corporate champion, Reigns won cleanly. After that, he refused Triple H's offer of joining the heel stable, so Money in the Bank winner Sheamus came out, cashed in his briefcase, and became the new champion - after losing in a traditional Survivor Series bout earlier in the evening. Fans were livid. The much-hyped Undertaker/Kane-Wyatts match was a grave disappointment after Undertaker's strong showings against Brock Lesnar in previous months, and the Charlotte-Paige match (which was built around Paige insulting Charlotte's deceased brother Reid) actually saw fans turn on Charlotte. The Pay-Per-View was far and away the worst of 2015, and a show better left forgotten.
