4. Buddy Murphy Didn't Actually Lie

The whole Roman Reigns murder attempt saga has been evidence of SmackDown's progressively messy story writing style. It's riddled with plot holes like Daniel Bryan blowing up at Erick Rowan before there was any concrete evidence and why Rowan tried to maim Reigns in the first place.

Then, there's the dipped toe that was Buddy Murphy's involvement.

Roman threatened to kick Buddy's ass if the ex-205 Live man didn't tell him what he knew. This told fans that Murphy had been on the scene of the crime when someone attempted to run Reigns over. That's where things got confusing; Murphy pinned the incident on Rowan, then cowardly cried out that he lied when Bryan and Rowan beat him up shortly thereafter.

Except, he didn't lie at all. Rowan has admitted himself that he was behind the attacks, so why hasn't Reigns apologised to Buddy for being so aggressive when the Cruiser was only telling the truth? The entire escapade is tangled and losing steam by the week.
