Little is made of Edges tough childhood, but that doesnt make his success story any less impressivein fact, far from it. Edge was raised by his mother, Judy Copeland, in Orangeville, Ontario. His father left home while his mother was still pregnant; an act that Edge understatedly describes in his autobiography as not exactly a class act. Edge would never end up meeting his father. As a result, his mother was forced to work two jobs, day and night, to support herself and her son. That strong work ethic clearly rubbed off on her son, who himself put his wrestling aspirations on the backburner to help pay the bills. Once he was in a position to get back into wrestling though, the only way was up for Edge. He ended his career in 2011 having won more championships in total than any other WWE history. Today, he still makes sporadic appearances for the company, but is much more focused on pursuing his acting career with a recurring role in Syfys Haven.
