10 Richest Wrestlers Who Started From Nothing

3. CM Punk€”$7.5 Million

CM Punk may have unceremoniously bailed on the WWE back in January of last year, but not before he elevated himself to the top of the card having been given absolutely nothing. His excellent documentary, Best in the World, chronicles much of Punk€™s upbringing. He divulges information on the rocky relationship he holds with his parents, his father€™s issues with alcoholism and even the time he was robbed by his own brother. In response, Punk had left home and move in with a friend, where he was essentially adopted by her family. From there, he and his buddies€”in line with their punk ethos€”set up their own wrestling company, known as the Lunatic Wrestling Federation. What started out as a backyard activity soon grew into a viable company, and became the platform from which Punk learned the craft that would turn him into the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era. And with Punk in the early stages of launching his UFC career, expect his worth to continue to rise for years to come.
