5. 'The Natural Disasters' (Earthquake & Texas Tornado)

You might be looking at the sub-heading above and thinking, '...but there was already a tag called The Natural Disasters'. There was, but the WWF had to change Tugboat to Typhoon for that to happen. They had a perfect partner for Earthquake under their noses all along.

By the time his WWF run came along, poor Kerry wasn't the same worker he'd been in his prime. Injuries and addictions had taken their toll, and his run as the 'Texas Tornado' wasn't as good as it should've been. Lumping Kerry with 'Quake (a big guy who could move and therefore carry some heavy lifting in matches) may have made things easier for him.

Earthquake and the Tornado would have been the promotion's original 'Disasters'. Von Erich would've also been able to take a breather in between tags; working heel beatdowns/cheating behind the ref's back wouldn't have been as physically taxing as playing big-bumping babyface.
