10 Roster Moves WWE Must Make After SummerSlam 2017

4. The Miz To SmackDown

The Miz has only been part of the Raw roster since April. Transferred as part of the original Superstar Shake-Up, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion always features prominently on Monday nights, and recently gained a new set of allies in Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. On that level, things are going relatively well for him.

He has a clear role on the brand, which makes it impossible to say he's being underused, but Miz still feels like a lesser version of the performer he was on SmackDown. He was the blue brand's most consistently entertaining act, and the recipient of an almighty career revival bolstered by his rivalry with Daniel Bryan. Now, Miz is just another guy on Raw, and that's a shame.

It's unlikely that WWE would consider shifting The Miz so soon after the original Shake-Up, but it'd be a good idea. On Raw, his ceiling is "decent midcard champion", but he'd immediately be one of SmackDown's top heels if he were to show up and cut one of his searing promos two nights after SummerSlam, and following months of Jinder Mahal or Bray Wyatt as the show's top heel, he could be exactly what SD needs.
