7. They Will Accidentally Turn Roman Reigns Heel

The Theory: WWE's new golden boy Roman Reigns will fail to get over as a babyface and will actually get over as a heel instead. The Evidence: Hmm, where have we seen this before? WWE fans turn on heavily-pushed, one-dimensional babyface who delivers cheesy promos? Ring any bells? The current Reigns situation is eerily reminiscent of what happened to John Cena after he won the WWE Championship in 2005. Reigns, like Cena, made his name as a heel. Cena's Doctor of Thuganomics character struck a chord with WWE fans in 2003 and 2004 and he gained something of a cult following thanks to his rapping promos and fresh look. Roman Reigns made his name as a heel as a member of the incredible successful Shield stable. Since the breakup of The Shield, however, Reigns has struggled. His matches against Randy Orton over the summer failed to live up to expectations and then he missed a lot of time due to a hernia. Following his return, Reigns' promos and ring performances have attracted criticism. Many see through his push and resent the fact that other, seemingly more deserving wrestlers (whatever that means) are being overlooked. Will It Happen: Probably. WWE and Reigns will have to tread very lightly on the road to WrestleMania. Many are predicting Reigns to win the Rumble and go on to lift the WWE Championship on the grandest stage of them all. His promo work is going to have to improve, if he is to properly solidify himself as 'the man' in 2015. WWE fans also seem to be reacting more strongly towards Reigns' former Shield stablemates Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, which must be of great concern to WWE officials. Most importantly, fans are smart and can detect when the WWE is trying to force someone down their throats. Reigns could be turned into a money-drawing entity, but he may not get the desired reaction when he becomes one.
