10 Shocking Returns That Could Happen At WWE Night Of Champions

1. Dudley Boyz

Oh my brother, testify! The Usos have held the WWE Tag Team Championships for six months now, defeating nearly every tandem WWE has thrown at them multiple times. They€™ve proven themselves against the best currently on the roster and have gone just about as far as they can. Whenever they drop the titles, it needs to be a big deal €“ either elevating a new team (rumors have circulated about calling up The Ascension from NXT, and the duo's loss at Takeover: Fatal 4-Way opens that door) or a pair of major stars. So why not have the most decorated tag team in professional wrestling reunite in WWE to challenge the Usos? Right now, the Dust Brothers are challenging for the straps at Night of Champions, but if we're doing fantasy booking, why not blow that off in some fashion on TV and let the Usos issue an open challenge? Bubba Ray and D-Von could answer the call. (As an alternative, why not have the Dudleys show up after the match, table in hand, to pop the crowd and set themselves up as the next challengers.) The duo would provide a shot in the arm for the tag team division, even if they were only together for a couple matches. But more likely, bringing the Dudleys back would be a short-term deal as a team, maybe even just a one-off match. Bubba Ray has proven himself as a singles star and could make a run in the upper card. But a tag title match to give a rub to the Usos and pop the crowd would be fun €“ and it certainly would qualify as a shocking return. And who wouldn€™t want to yell out, €œD-Von! Get the tables!€
