7. Sid Was Over In ECW

ECW fans could be heard shouting anti-WWF and WCW chants countless times on pay-per-view. The promotion's roster was also pelted with harsh, "YOU SOLD OUT!" choruses whenever they inked a deal with one of the big two. Apparently, wanting to get paid on time was a negative.

That hardcore rebellion falls down a bit when one realises just how over Sid was in the organisation. ECW fans loved the former Sycho Sid/Sid Justice/Sid Vicious like he was one of their own, and his three pay-per-view appearances stood out when looking back on every ECW supershow for this write-up.

Sid beat Kronus at Guilty As Charged 1999, then teamed with Little Spike vs. The Dudleyz at Living Dangerously. His final showing was a no contest with Justin Credible at Hardcore Heaven before he rejoined WCW in June for a quite awful run. Paul Heyman’s legendary ability to hide weaknesses and push strengths to the forefront came into play here.

Sid looked like the man in ECW, and the hardcore crowds loved seeing him squash every f*cker in sight.
