With Sting now set to become part of that world, probably for life, you can expect his TNA legacy to be pretty much wiped out. It's almost a bit like the Star Wars expanded universe, where only what happens in the films is accepted as true. All other aspects of the story are non-canon. In applying this to wrestling, Sting the character was only canon in WWE owned promotions, TNA is a non-canon minor side show. It's barely on Vince McMahon's radar. Sting's legacy is only going to exist in WWE's version of history. The iconic star will probably sign a legends deal as part of his new WWE contract, which WWE will look to keep him tied down in for life. Part of this will be a WWE Hall Of Fame spot. Do you think Sting is ever going to reference his TNA achievements once he is part of the WWE club? Of course not. The above video where Sting is inducted into the TNA Hall Of Fame and portrays himself as a pillar of the brand is rendered a fallacy by his decision to join Vince and Co. We will never hear Sting endorsing TNA again, he probably viewed the whole induction as an angle rather than an honour.
