Wrestling fans were in awe when John Cena defied doctors to race back from injury and compete in the 2008 Royal Rumble. That popped MSG big, and it remains one of the most memorable comebacks in WWE history. Now, Cody Rhodes could be set to put his own name in that category.

WWE's recent rehab videos for Cody reek of WrestleMania return, don't they? That's all very well and good, but what if it's a ruse and he's actually ahead of schedule? What if Rhodes is a shock entrant in this year's Rumble, wins the thing and becomes Roman Reigns' opponent for 'Mania 39?

That'd be incredible.

Cody was in some state at Hell In A Cell last June, and yet he managed to fight through the pain there to work a 25-minute cage stunner opposite Seth Rollins. Does anybody really think he couldn't pull off the Rumble then be kept on ice until April?
