10 Shocks WWE Could Pull At SummerSlam 2018

7. The Demon Returns

The Shock:

Finn Bálor Vs. Constable Corbin is a p*ss break. It exists to give Bálor the series-winning victory, the momentum generated by which will see him not advance any further up the card because Vince McMahon doesn't see him as a headliner. Draining as the negativity may be for reader and writer alike, come the f*ck on. This is as boring (evidenced) as it is pointless (what good did winning the Bray Wyatt feud do the "tiny Irishman"?).

The Likelihood: 5%

As low as Bálor's ceiling. WWE wants the Barclays crowd to treat at least one match as a p*ss break, so as to not exhaust them for the feature attractions. This could also be accomplished by not promoting a six and a half hour show, but there you go.

Moreover, WWE tends to telegraph any Demon appearance with little subtlety. "I've got demons of my own," he told Bray Wyatt around this time last year. And, since Bálor didn't say the words "Baron, I'll be wearing red and black paint on Sunday!" on the go-home RAW, expect instead another of the sartorial triumphs that are Bálor's bespoke PPV trunks.
