10 Signs Dolph Ziggler Could Be On His Way Out Of WWE

5. His Heel Turn Failed Miserably

Dolph Ziggler worked as a babyface in 2013 because he was immensely popular with the fans and they saw him as the ultimate underdog. Unfortunately, once he was relegated to wrestling Damien Sandow on Kickoff shows - and losing - fans stopped believing in him and lost all faith the company would utilize him the right way.

Otherwise, he has always been a natural heel, which was evident early on in his WWE career. By early 2017, he was so stagnant as a face that a heel turn was the one thing that could have rejuvenated his career. He finally snapped when he laid out Apollo Crews on the premiere episode of SmackDown Live in the new year, but it was all downhill from there.

Ziggler was essentially the same person he was before. He showed signs of developing an aggressive edge from time to time, but his attire, attitude, and entrance music didn't change. Additionally, his feud with Crews and Kalisto was a major waste of time and didn't benefit anyone involved whatsoever.

WWE had a real chance to hit the reset button with him by turning him heel, but they dropped the ball big time.
