10 Signs That Point To WWE WrestleMania 34 Being AWESOME

8. Perfectionist Past Precedent

WWE tends to present non-wrestler celebrity matches very well indeed - Akebono being the rule-proving exception.

Lawrence Taylor accounted for himself very well at WrestleMania XI, in a match so professionally laid out that it compensated for its amateur performer. Even better was the match between The Big Show and Floyd Mayweather at 'Mania XXIV, in which 'Money' was framed, hilariously and realistically, as a cocky ant before the Giant made him squeal by standing on his puffed-out chest.

Clearly, WWE will meticulously plan the mooted inter-gender affair with the perfectionist drive of Randy Savage. There is no chance in hell that WWE botches its major investment - nor will it embarrass the Billion Dollar Princess. To use another Vince McMahonism, it's more a less a guaran-d*mn-tee that WWE will engineer palpable anticipation for Rousey's big match-winning moment through a brilliantly manipulative layout. The prospect of Ronda tapping out The Game - and not Stephanie - is a subversive "'Mania Moment' with legendary potential to reach the upper echelon of shaved billionaire heads, slammed French giants, and Hardcore Holly harassing "that sh*thead" Michael Cole.

Ronda's mystery partner is less clear - but Kurt Angle is equally in need of such smoke and mirrors, and was one of a handful of men Trips telegraphed as an opponent late last year.
