10. Downloading Wrestlers' Entrance Music To Your iPod
It's until about the 1980s that a wrestlers' entrance music became a big part of the act. Hulk Hogan's "Real American," Ultimate Warrior's "Unstable," and especially Randy Savage's "Pomp and Circumstance" are all songs you hear in various forms of media today and you immediately associate them to those iconic wrestlers. They also set the bar for future themes for Superstars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk and others. Back them, though, fans had no way of getting their hands on the song aside from hearing it on television. They weren't made available digitally until just recently via iTunes. With almost every wrestler's entrance theme available on the music platform, it's now easier than ever to jam out to the tunes of your favorite stars on your iPod. Whether you're working out the gym listening to Brock Lesnar's "Next Big Thing" or just walking down the street blasting Stone Cold's "I Won't Do What You Tell Me" in your headphones, you listen to your favorites themes wherever, whenever. It's also not uncommon for fans to set an entrance theme as their phone's ringtone. I, for one, would be more excited than ever getting a phone call if it meant I'd hear glass shatter every time someone called me. Some wrestling themes are so great that it's almost mandatory to have them in your iTunes library. If half your iPod consists of entrance music, then the other half is probably made up of songs that WWE has used in the past for promos, video packages and pay-per-views. That's how I got into most of the artists I listen to today including Fozzy, Saliva, Rev Theory and more bands. This also falls under the category of "marking out" whenever you hear a wrestler's theme, "Cult of Personality" for example, out in public because it's rather rare that happens.
