10 Small Changes That Would Improve WWE

1. Open Raw With More Matches

Anything that would alter the tried and true format of Raw easily be considered a "big" change, but in truth, it wouldn't take a lot of effort to change the formula and open either Raw and SmackDown with matches, rather than soul-killing 15 to 20-minute promos with Stephanie McMahon hijacking the show in order to show us all that she's still a heel authority figure.

While it's important to spread the wealth in the main event scene, giving 10-15 minutes at the top of the show to a Cruiserweight or women's division match could make more performers seem important, especially if they're being tasked with grabbing the audience at the top of the first hour.

Wouldn't you rather see Neville and Cedric Alexander tear the house down for during the first segment of Raw rather than a heavily scripted backstage promo? If the women's division is truly the equal of the men, wouldn't it make sense for Charlotte to kick off the show if Roman Reigns is going to end it?

Especially on Raw, it's important to engage the viewer to keep them hanging on for three hours, and the fact is a good match will do that much more effectively than Stephanie's banshee shrill.
