10 Small WWE Character Tweaks That Became DISASTERS!

5. Big Show "Mentored Stephanie McMahon"

It's hard to say what part of this storyline was the worst bit: Big Show turning on the waterworks like someone had just stolen his ice cream cone, the idea that multi-millionaire Show suddenly needed money, or that he mentored a 12 year old Stephanie McMahon backstage despite Steph turning 12 in 1988 - 7 years before Paul Wight even started wrestling.

This was all part of The Authority's manipulation tactics between 2013-2014, but it shouldn't have worked on Show. Why was he getting all teary when McMahon was clearly talking nonsense? Nobody stopped to explain that, or justify why this mountain of a man was bubbling away just because Stephanie and Triple H were turning up the heat.

If this was an attempt to show some emotional range, then it flopped. Hard.

At times, it was almost like Steph was confusing Show for Andre The Giant. This particular giant didn't debut in the WWF/WWE until 1999, and McMahon was getting kayfabe married on TV by that point. Holy crap, this was dire, and so was turning Big Show into some tool with a trembly lip who needed The Authority's cash.
