A third generation performer, Ted Jr.'s dad was an even more successful star than his own father 'Iron' Mike DiBiase. No pressure then.

Things started well, as young Ted found instant success alongside Cody Rhodes upon his debut in 2008. Becoming two-time tag team champions in a matter of months, the younger DiBiase seemed to be destined for success.

Partnered with Rhodes and Orton as part of Raw's leading heel faction Legacy, all signs pointed to the stable being a facilitator to establish DiBiase as a main event attraction in WWE.

After months of tension between members of the faction in early 2010, it appeared that DiBiase was being primed for a huge babyface revolt against Orton and match at WrestleMania XXVI.

Week after week, enthusiasm for DiBiase's seemingly evident turn faded, as WWE apprehensively retracted their plan.

Eventually Orton turned on Legacy and faced and defeated them both at WrestleMania, for all intents and purposes killing DiBiase's career.

While a capable worker and passable heel, Junior lacked all the charisma of his father and an attempt to mimic his millionaire gimmick only further increased crowd indifference to him.

Sidelined with multiple injuries throughout 2012, DiBiase announced his departure from WWE in 2013, retiring at the age of 30.
