Nepotism is probably the least offensive of all accusations that can be levelled at 'Cowboy' Bill Watts.

An alleged bully, homophobe and racist, Watt's hiring and pushing of his son Erik while in charge of WCW in 1992 is still one of many transgressions he will never live down.

After a mere three months training at his own hand, Watts unleashed Erik to the wrestling world in August of 1992.

Pitted as a basic white meat babyface, Watts neither looked or acted the part. Going on a tedious five month undefeated streak, which saw him defeat Kevin Nash, DDP, Michael Hayes and Steve Austin, Watts' insipid push was finally halted when his dad was fired after being embroiled in a racism scandal.

Diminished to the undercard, Watts Jr. joined the WWF in 1995, where coincidentally, his old man was now the booker.

Repackaged as Troy, one half of the forgettable cyber duo Tekno Team 2000, Erik soon followed his dad out of the promotion in 1996 after only a handful of matches for the promotion.

Resurfacing as a jobber in both WCW and ECW in the late '90s and early 2000s, Watts' career feebly fizzled out in TNA in 2002.
