10 Stars WWE Should Never Have Let Go

2. Kurt Angle

Just shy of seven years after the Olympian had burst onto the scene, struggles with his health and some personal demons led Kurt Angle and WWE to part ways in 2006. Proving himself time and time again as one of wrestling's best, Angle moved on to TNA and enjoyed a near-10 year run full of brilliant matches and World Title reigns.

It's understandable that WWE wanted to distance themselves from the crazier aspects of Kurt's life, but he was far from washed up in 2006. Just think of all the matches WWE missed out on with Angle; against men like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, Kurt would have been golden. Now, there's a good chance he will never wrestle either, though he has made a WWE comeback himself.

A return to the ring is inevitable once Angle's current stint as Raw GM ends, but he had so much more to offer WWE. They missed out on an entire decade of Kurt's career, which is shameful when considering just how dynamic a performer he was for the promotion from 1999-2006.

There's still a chance to make up for lost time, but those years can never be reclaimed.
