3. Wade Barrett

There's a reason Wade Barrett was chosen as the leader of The Nexus in 2010. Sounding like a mix between charming politician and movie narrator, the Englishman was blessed with a voice that sounded different to everything else on WWE TV yet was still easy for North Americans to understand. That's uncommon for a Brit.

Between the ropes, Barrett favoured a smash-mouth style that worked well against everyone from John Cena and Randy Orton to Daniel Bryan and Sheamus. In an era when almost everybody who shows something worthwhile goes on to become World Champion, it's a massive surprise that Barrett didn't go above Intercontinental Title level in WWE.

Another who grew bored of being undermined by silly ideas ('King' Barrett and the League Of Nations being top examples), Wade decided to leave WWE in 2015 and pursue a career in acting. Since then, he has been revealed as the new GM of Defiant Wrestling.
