10 Stars WWE Should Never Have Let Go

4. John Morrison

There wasn't one time John Morrison made his entrance (complete with snazzy slow-motion effects) when Jerry 'The King' Lawler didn't sound impressed on commentary. Why wouldn't he be though? Morrison looked every bit the rock star he was supposed to, had an amazing physique, and fans were captivated by his presence.

Best of all, Morrison could work against opponents of all shapes and sizes, progressed on the microphone by channelling his quirky personality, and could sell like few others on the WWE roster. The sky looked to be the limit for him, but Morrison would be gone from the company by late-2011. What a complete and utter waste.

Morrison was only in his early-30s when he made the call to leave WWE. He had years ahead of him as a top-tier performer, but was more interested in seeing what he could achieve on his own away from the McMahon machine. That machine should have done everything imaginable to hold onto Jo-Mo.
