10 Stars With More WWE Title Reigns Than They Deserve

1. Randy Orton

But if there is ever one man who has benefited from the WWE passing titles around like party goodies, it is Randy Orton. Let's look at the math concerning the World Heavyweight Championship, first and foremost. Four reigns with that belt for Orton, spanning a total of 139 days. That's around a month for each reign, which is pretty pathetic compared to reigns of years gone by. Triple H has only held the title on five times, yet has reigned for well over 600 days. It's complete and utter proof that Orton is a major beneficiary from a lack of clarity in the WWE. The numbers stack up slightly better for Orton when it comes to the WWE Championship (with his eight reigns spanning 609 days), but the point is more that 12 world titles is absolutely absurd. Orton is just 34, which virtually guarantees that he will end his career with more titles than Flair. For a guy who spends a lot of the time messing around in storylines not concerning a title, that is a pretty flimsy legacy, unfortunately.
