10 Steps IMPACT Wrestling Must Take Following Slammiversary 2021

5. Open The Forbidden Door To AAA

The man in the GIF above performing a sick Hurricanrana is one El Hijo del Vikingo, a man who's made a handful of IMPACT appearances in years prior on the promotion's Mexican shows.

He must make a return, either at or before Bound For Glory.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer had reported back in April that IMPACT was planning to bring in some more AAA talent, with Black Taurus - the reigning Latin American Champion over there - already a current roster member. How could you plan such a thing and not want to bring Vikingo back? He's got the buzz surrounding him, he's not exactly a new face to long-term IMPACT audiences, and, needless to say, would make for a transcendent addition to the X Division.

This doesn't just apply to Vikingo, though the list of bangers he could have with IMPACT stars is endless. AAA names, alongside AEW and New Japan stars, are being teased for Bound For Glory. There will be new faces coming in from Mexico's second-largest promotion. The likes of Aero Star and Laredo Kid would flourish in the division, too. Faby Apache, who's set to face Deonna Purrazzo at AAA Triplemania XXIX, would do wonders in the knockouts division as well.
