8. John Cena Vs. The Undertaker

For as long as many wrestling fans can remember, John Cena vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania has been one of the last great dream matches. This year, it looked as if the match was finally going to happen, in all of its glory. Despite the Deadman's apparent retirement after his loss to Roman Reigns last year and his cryptic promo at Raw 25, John Cena had specifically called him out by name. In wrestling terms, that's as good as issuing a press release announcing his appearance.

Weeks went by, with Cena issuing increasingly frantic appeals for The Undertaker to emerge from his hiding place. It was a compelling and unique match build that hinted at a big blow-off at the Showcase of Immortals. Instead, Cena spent the first half of WrestleMania sitting in the crowd, before hurtling off down the ramp when a referee apparently told him that Undertaker was in the building.

Later in the show, he re-emerged and, eventually, Undertaker joined him. The match that followed was simply a showcase of 'Taker's greatest hits, coming to an end in less than three minutes. Worse still, there was no follow-up. It's possible that these two will go at it again but, as things stand, WrestleMania is the limp conclusion to this strange story.
