10 Strange Wrestling Debuts That Left Fans Bewildered

3. The Yeti From Egypt

Quick question: Does the above photo show (a) a Mummy, or (b) a Yeti?

If you answered (a), congratulations on your continued grasp of sanity. If you answered (b), may we ask exactly what drugs you taking during your time on the WCW booking committee?

Mythological misnomers aside, the Yeti's one and only appearance is one of the most bizarre occurrences in the history of the business. Debuting on WCW Fall Brawl as part of the much-derided Dungeon of Doom, the Yeti etched his way into wrestling folklore by lumbering to the ring and dry-humping Hulk Hogan while Paul Wight held the Hulkster in a bear hug. This colossal manwich was to be the Yeti's sole contribution to the world of professional wrestling as he left back to his homeland of Egypt/The Himalayas immediately after the PPV, never to be seen again.

(Our favourite part of the whole thing? Paul Wight shaking his head in disgust as the Yeti enters the ring. At least one person in WCW knew WrestleCrap when they saw it).
