10 Strangest Times Wrestlers Turned Up In Character Outside Of Wrestling
1. The Undertaker - The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
The Undertaker was no stranger to late-night show appearances. To help promote SummerSlam back in 2003, 'Big Evil' showed up in his biker character for a sit-down conversation with Jimmy Kimmel. However, what ensued was a feathery pillow fight that did little to help promote the upcoming event as anything credible. In 2015, 'Taker arrived as 'The Deadman' on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to tombstone a guy in a turkey outfit. Oh, and he was also there to promote the 25th Anniversary of The Undertaker at Survivor Series.
Much like the 25th Anniversary, WWE sent 'The Phenom' back to Jimmy Fallon to promote 30 Years of Undertaker at Survivor Series in 2020. Although he arrived in character, Fallon decided to have The Undertaker to combine Halloween and WWE during a Suggestion Box segment.
While there was a second opportunity for 'The Lord of Darkness' and Fallon to focus more on the upcoming event and the coinciding WWE Network Specials, they had the legend deliver his signature Tombstone Piledriver to a scarecrow as though a real opponent. There was no way such a skit didn't leave viewers in suspense, ready to begin their trial of the Network to see what happened at Survivor Series. It was less shameful than a pillow fight, at least.
