WWE’s tag divisions haven’t exactly been treated with the greatest care in 2017, but Matt & Jeff Hardy have been flying since returning at WrestleMania 33. Their surprise appearance garnered the pop of the night in Orlando, and the duo have looked excellent since then, with their most recent triumph coming through a successful Raw Tag Team Title defence at Payback.

A rematch with the newly-turned Sheamus and Cesaro looms, but regardless of whether they win or lose, The Hardy Boyz will remain WWE’s hottest tag team. Their popularity is still soaring thanks to last year’s unlikely career revival, and while they can only coast on Attitude Era nostalgia forever, it surely won’t be long before WWE “breaks” them.

Several aspects of the ‘Broken’ universe have permeated Matt and Jeff’s mannerisms since their comeback, particularly on social media. Reports suggest that WWE have finally acquired the rights to the gimmick from Impact Wrestling, and with the way things are currently going, they could flip the switch at any moment. When it happens, expect the Hardys to go from strength to strength, and continue as Raw’s featured team for the rest of 2017.
