10 Stupidest Things WWE EVER Promoted

1. Seth Rollins Vs Rey Mysterio (The Horror Show At WWE Extreme Rules)

It's the worst.

It's the worst.

It's also the stupidest and no list on stupid WWE things could possibly be completed without mention of it. Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins wrestled one another with the only goal being to remove the other's eye.

Not only that, but do it via usage of the corner of the ringside steps. Not only that, but the match only existed because Seth Rollins lost his mind due to defeat against Drew McIntyre/finding out Becky Lynch was pregnant (delete as appropriate) earlier that year. Not only that but the match also only existed to set up another match.

As impossible as any of this nonsense seems, Eye For An Eye at the atrociously poor but aptly-named Horror Show At Extreme Rules wasn't really about Rollins being desparate to blind Mysterio after all. It was to get into the head of his son Dominik, who he'd battle at SummerSlam!

Rollins spewed up at the sight of what he'd done seconds after he'd done it. This was strange considering he'd asked for it, but it was at very least a sentiment shared by those that lived through it.
