Current WWE diva Emma was briefly fired by WWE after an incident at a WalMart on June 30, 2014. While using a self-checkout machine, she apparently forgot to scan an iPad case she bought and was arrested for shoplifting. When WWE found out about the incident, they fired her, only to then changed their mind a few hours later. A big reason why they changed their mind was because fans were outraged about it and expressed their displeasure on social media. It was obviously just a silly mistake where she accidentally forgot to check out a $20 item. It could happen to anyone. In the end, she was only fired for a few hours. However, you would think a company like WWE would have the good sense to get more information about an incident before they cut somebody loose. This was a textbook case of a knee-jerk reaction coming back to bit them on the behind.
