7. Bobby Roode Vs Austin Aries - TNA Destination X 2012
2012 TNA isn't remembered fondly by too many fans. Hogan dominance, Aces and 8s, and *clears throat* Claire Lynch.
That's unfortunate because underneath the storyline sewage was some damn fine wrasslin'. At Destination X, A-Double decided to go all in, relinquishing his X-Division Title for one shot at Roode's Heavyweight strap. As an X-Division competitor, Aries was not supposed to be able to strut into the main event scene and hold his own. His arrogance irked Roode, who went about trying to dominate and embarrass his smaller adversary. Just as it looked like Roode would have to cheat to win, Aries caught him with one of his finest Brainbusters. Aries, not Roode, would walk into Bound for Glory 2012 as TNA Heavyweight Champion.
